
The Cooper Foundation strives to be a good steward of the extremely precious resources in our care, and we are challenged to discern difficult choices. Within that discernment process, we welcome our nonprofit friends to become engaged with our staff to discuss emergent needs and plans.

While the Foundation’s interests are quite broad, an initial contact with the Executive Director is suggested by telephone at 254.754.0315. An in-person appointment can also be scheduled. This can be a time-saver in determining whether a proposal is within foundation guidelines and interests. Once eligibility is determined, this meeting further gives opportunity for our staff to advise on the preparation of a request. There is no online application.

Grants are made exclusively to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Waco, Texas. Cooper Foundation makes no advance commitments for continued funding beyond the project grant and does not provide funds for normal operating costs or religious purposes.

Awards are made throughout the year. Cooper Trustees review grant applications in even numbered months (February, April, June, and so forth). However, emergency needs may be considered at any time.
